The Wellness Community is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation that provides all services at no charge to people affected by cancer and their loved ones. Thus, we rely on the generosity of others.
There are many ways to assist The Wellness Community:
1) Volunteers - with such a small staff, we are indebted to our volunteers who assist us with our general office duties and calendar delivery. Many medical professionals and other gifted community members donate programs and others use their expertise by serving on committees such as ARTitude and Fall Luncheon.
2) In-kind contributions - we are very grateful for donations of any kind. Currently EarthFare and Mellow Mushroom provide lunch for our participants during monthly nutrition programs. Image matters has loaned us a color copier. Numerous individuals and businesses donate items to our silent auction. (See complete listing on special events page or in our newsletter.)
3) Sponsorships and financial support - since we don't charge for services, we are most appreciative to individuals, businesses and foundations who provide funding for programs and services.
